Shellie H Penley CPA/PFS, CFP® - In 1986, I started as a staff accountant in the tax departement at Ernst & Young LLP. While I was working my way up to Manager, I was able to gain a lot of experience in the individual, trust, and small business areas of tax. It was during this time that I gained the confidence and courage to take a step out of my confort zone. In 1996, I decided I wanted something more for me and my family. I made the decision to take a leap of faith and open my own practice. With a handful of clients ranging from individuals and small businesses, I grew from there. Now, with over 35 years of experience, I am exactly where I want to be in life. I have a thriving practice with a treasure of many great clients. When I work with a cient, I treat them in a way that I would want to be treated if I were in their shoes. I've always tried to live my own life that way. My expertise is in the individual and small business tax preparation and planning, sales and use tax, and payroll tax reporting. I like to spend my time traveling with my husband, enjoying time with our daughters and our pups/cat, and attending NC State Wolfpack sporting events. As a graduate of NC State University, I always enjoy the football games in the fall and the occasional basketball game in the spring.
Kim Daoust - In 2012, I was very blessed to have Kim come work with me. She has extensive experience working in the service industry. As soon as we spoke on the phone for the first time, I knew we would make a good fit. We've been together for so long and she knows the clients so well, she is an incredible asset to me as well as each and every one of our clients. Her expertise is in the accounting and small individual tax return preparation. She likes to spend her time with her family and pups.
