Shellie H. Penley, CPA
I have over 20 years of experience in public accounting. My career began with achieving two degrees from North Carolina State University. I received a Bachelor of Arts degreee in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. After receiving my degree, I started my work experience with Ernst and Whinney in January, 1987. I started in the tax department and specialized in individual and small business compliance and tax planning. Several years later, Ernst and Whinney merged with Arthur Young and merged into one of the world's largest accounting firms, Ernst and Young. After reaching the position of Manager, I resigned in December, 1996 and began my firm. Since starting my firm, I have doubled in size with my client base. I continue to specialize in individuals and small businesses. Over the years, I have been able to maintain the size of my firm to continue providing personalized service. In an effort to provide services to my clients in today's changing times, I have also began to provide services in the personal financial planning area. This area enables me to provide competitive services and at the same time, serve my clients with better tax planning and financial information in order to make better decisions. I am an active member of the North Carolina Board of CPA Examiners and belong to the associations that work with the profession. I am a member of the North Carolina Association of CPA's, the American Institute of CPA's, and Personal Financial Planning Association. I continue to be challenged by the ever changing markets and tax laws and enjoy the opportunity to work with my clients. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. shpcpa@aol.com |
